Do you want to take control of your finances and not spend your life in a cubicle? Want to build a profitable business automatically? Read this!

Because people are becoming less influenced by traditional advertising that interrupts them, marketing is shifting to a more permission and connection based model. There is nothing more effective and influential than word of mouth marketing and endorsements from trusted sources.

Studies show that 90% of word of mouth marketing is taking place off-line. So, what are the best tools to help strengthen relationships and encourage those conversations? There is no doubt promotional stickers are a powerful force in this quest.

Long before there was Facebook, Twitter, and the hundreds of other social media options – people were liking, tagging, pinning, posting and starting conversations off-line with stickers. Though there is limited data and, till now, little written about this overlooked marketing medium, Jeff Nicholson pulls back the curtain in his book and shows how every business and organization can take advantage of promotional stickers in their marketing strategies.

Stickers may very well be one of the best marketing values available and it’s time to reveal the secrets and tips that allow you to use this medium to its maximum effect. This book will show you exactly how to put this guerrilla marketing weapon to work for you.

Stickers are already being used as a powerful tool for thousands of companies in many different industries. A few powerful examples are highlighted in this book. How powerful can stickers be? Have they tipped political races? Yes.

Have they helped build large corporations? Yes. Have they been key in the survival and growth of small businesses? Yes. Has anyone gotten rich with a good sticker idea? Yes. Have stickers saved lives? Well, yes (see page 10 in the book).

So, why haven’t you heard more about them and why isn’t there a chapter on promo stickers in every marketing book worth it’s salt? Good question – and one of the reasons this book is long overdue.

This book is filled with hidden gems and ideas that can help transform your business? Do your fans and best customers have an easy way to show their support for your organization and encourage word-of-mouth marketing off-line? Have you branded every product and every bit of real estate you control or have access to? This book will help stimulate ideas and maximize the effectiveness of a sticker campaign that starts conversations, strengthens customer relations and helps grow your organization.

If you are one of those people who believe stickers are just for kids, just another cheap promo product giveaway, or only used by youth-targeting action sports companies, you will definitely want to “Stick This!”

Stick This! By Jeff Nicholson is a fresh, fascinating read for anyone interested in marketing, including business owners and entrepreneurs, especially at a time when it seems like the only hot ideas, and the only must-do action items, are in social media.

I hadn’t given a thought to the power of promotional stickers until I picked up this book, but the parallels with stickers and social media marketing are amazing. Stickers, like social media, provide an easy way to show their support for your organization and encourage word-of-mouth marketing, and they can travel to unexpected locations, much like viral digital marketing.

They “invite people in and make them feel comfortable.” And they help a business to mobilize its “badgers” as Jeff calls them – “the fans and devoted customers who will be doing your marketing for free.

” One of the more interesting aspects of promotional stickers is that they “represent clear endorsements, which are not lost in a crowd of other messages” — unlike so much of online messages these days.

Stick This! talks you through the process of thinking about promotional stickers while staying firmly imbedded in core principles of good marketing, so even a beginning can pick this up and get a great grounding in marketing.

Stick This! Using Promotional Stickers to Build Identity, Create Word of Mouth and Grow Sales. By Jeff Nicholson is exactly the book and perspective current advertising and marketing professionals, from both client and agency, need to simplify the process of promotion.

Yes, this book is mainly about stickers – I happen to passionately agree with the author that stickers are king – but, the marketing strategies and philosophies boiled down in this text can and should be applied to all media types.

Simple. Aspirational. Badge-worthy. Brand loyalty and pride building. In my 16 years of working in advertising agencies of all shapes and sizes the common thread was the tendency to complicate the most simple task/project.

Through reading this book, I realized if we began every project by nut-shelling the objective into sticker form, we would have a perfect launch pad for the rest of the campaign… Or we might discover a sticker could pull all the weight.

Thanks for the insight, Jeff!-Anna Colavito, Director of Project Management and Founding Director of Scout Film Festival
