AnyGlove(TM) For Leather Formula – Turns Almost Any Leather, Insulated or Waterproof Gloves Into Touchscreen Gloves,
You can of course still access a fingerprint-secured smartphone using regular touchscreen-friendly gloves by simply punching in your passcode on-screen, but why should we have to give up the convenience of a feature like Touch ID for months on end just because it’s cold outside? We shouldn’t, and these Taps stickers will allow you to use your mobile device’s touchscreen and fingerprint reader, for unlocking your phone or making a purchase, even while your actual fingers (and fingerprints) are being kept warm and toasty inside a glove.
With a promise to ship by Christmas, the Taps could make a good present for someone who already has a set of perfectly fine gloves.

These Fake Fingerprint Stickers Let You Access a Protected Phone While Wearing Gloves
Yu’s company, Nanotips, has been at the game of glove-improvement for a few years now. Their initial product, which the company is named after, is a liquid—almost a paint that you can apply to gloves to make them work with smartphones. The Taps stickers were the next logical step.
You might assume this would mean that anyone with a Taps sticker on their gloves could access anyone else’s protected phone. But according to its creators, using nanoparticle technology every single Taps sticker has an individual and unique artificial print ensuring that only your gloves can access your device. That being said, there is still the risk of someone stealing your gloves, which is easier than stealing your fingerprints, so you’ll have to weigh the security risks introduced versus the added convenience these offer.

If you’re not worried about someone swiping your gloves, the Taps will be available through a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign with delivery expected before the end of the year, assuming, as is the case with all crowdfunded products, it reaches its funding goal and production goes smoothly. An $8 early bird contribution gets you four Taps, letting you power up any two fingers on each glove. You can buy even more if you want, just don’t forget that Apple’s Touch ID limits you to just ten fingerprints on file, so don’t over do it.
I have tried this on two gloves. I attempted both methods described in the instructions. First applying it on the pointer finger of the left hand glove in two coats and allowing it to dry overnight between coats.
Then I applied two coats to the pointer finger of the right hand glove, but used a heat gun to dry each coat.On the left glove, the material started to peel off after only about two weeks of light use (it has been raining a lot so I have only had a few good days to get out on the motorcycle).
On the right glove, there is no sign of peeling. However, I am not very impressed with how the material works on the screen of my phone. It requires a lot of effort to get it to actually work. You need to press the material onto the surface of the screen pretty hard for it to actually function, and even then it often makes improper control inputs.

I have found this to work well on gloves that I either want to restore touch or make touch sensitive. Highly recommend.Color is black.
Enter your model number to make sure this fits. WORKS ON ALL MATERIALS Really! Nanotips black will work on ALL materials, even on those thick bulky snowboarding gloves! 30+ APPLICATIONS PER BOTTLE!
Gloves that work on touchscreen devices are nothing new—they’ve existed almost as long as smartphones have. But gloves that can unlock a mobile device that’s protected with a fingerprint reader? It might be a solution to a first world problem, but it’s a problem we’re happy is solved.

A challenge arose when Yu and his co-workers realized that many phones these days come with biometric finger scan technology. The carbon could fake being a finger, but it couldn’t replicate your fingerprint. But each set of Taps can gain access to a biometric scanner. “It doesn’t look like a fingerprint,” Yu says, but each sticker comes with tiny dots rolled into the material that a scanner will recognize as unique.
This works when applied to the gloves’ fingertips. You may need to reapply it every few weeks.

This solution is very glove-dependent. It works fantastically on my Olympia Sports Vented Protector Glove (also available on Amazon). But does not work at all on my Alpinestars Apex Drystar Gloves, due to how the fingers are made on that glove.
I don’t know yet how long the Nanotips lasts, but so far I’m VERY happy with the gloves it’s working on. I had a Samsung Galaxy phone which offers a screen-mode that is sensitive for gloves. But that did not work as well as the Nanotips does on my Motorola phone which does NOT have the screen-mode option for gloves.

Nanotips was formulated specifically to withstand the most extreme conditions. Comprised of evenly dispersed ultra-fine conductive nanoparticles, each nanoparticle is carefully prepared so to interlink with one another; this helps to form a conductive grid-like film on the surface of the material.

Bought a pair of motorcycle gloves that were supposed to work with capacitive touchscreens. They did work, for about a week, and then the tips wore out. I bought the Nanotips thing to give it a try even though I had seen a lot of negative customer reviews.
I applied the Nanotip stuff (which is almost like nail polish) after shaking the bottle for 30 seconds in a fairly thick layer to the tip of the gloves’ index fingers. I applied a fairly thick layer, and covered pretty much the entire fingertip all the way in to the first knuckle/joint.
I then used a heat gun to dry the “nail polish” for about five minutes before applying a second layer, which I applied a little thinner than the first layer but covering the same area. Then I used the heat gun again for about five minutes to really let it dry properly.
First impressions after doing this was that it worked flawlessly. Very responsive to even the slightest tap of the screen. I did however see some signs of the “nail polish” flaking at the edge on one of the fingers, which made me worried that it might not stay on for very long during wear, tear and rain.
As of writing this review about two weeks have passed since I applied the Nanotips to my motorcycle gloves, and it still works perfectly. Some more of the Nanotip stuff has flaked and come off near the edges of the applied area, but two weeks in it’s quite slight and I would expect the application to last for at least 3-4 months, for me, on my gloves.
This will definitely wary though, depending on the gloves, how it was applied, weather and individual wear and tear. I am personally ok with having to reapply once every 3-4 months, but others might not be.
I definitely recommend that anyone trying this takes plenty of time to apply it properly, in several layers. It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you too.

I ride a motorcycle year round and use my iPhone in a case for navigation and music via bluetooth to my headset. It has been a real inconvenience to not be able to tap the screen with my gloves on. I was hoping this product would be the solution and it is but with certain draw backs.
First time I applied it I shook it up and painted the tip that I would use on my very bulky winter riding gloves. I used a hair dryer to dry and it didn’t work. I tried a couple more time and even tried not using a hair dryer and letting it dry overnight and it didn’t work.
I wanted to return it at that point but I didn’t give and am glad that I didn’t.How I got it to work. I read all the reviews and responses from the company here on Amazon and went over the directions several times.
Shaking it up is very important but the directions say to gently rotate the bottle back and forth to mix up the nano particles. What I think is that the bottle is to full and after I tired multiple applications there was more room to get the particles shook up (my theory).
Next I increased the area I was painting on the glove, pretty much covering the entire tip including the top side up to the first knuckle. You can’t just paint a small tip, it won’t work. I don’t understand how this makes it work but it does.
You have to paint a large area even though you will only be pressing with a small part of the tip. So after about five applications it worked good on my left index finger probably about 90% of the time.
I still have problems with the right one it works about 25% of the time. The issues I have is the product is advertised to do 30 applications. I don’t know if I will get that many applications out of it since it took so many to finally get it to work.
It does seem to be durable as I have yet to reapply it after one week and I ride everyday for a combined two hours. Overall I like the Nanotips just know that it is not as easy as paint it on and go, their might be some trial and error until you get it right.
4.0 out of 5 starsGOOD BUT TAKES SOME TRIAL AND ERROR TO GET IT TO WORK.
I used this on thin, Hestra ski glove liners, following the simple instructions, and it worked perfectly.- I placed three drops on each index and thumb, then dried with a hairdryer as directed- There was zero discoloration or any residue that could be pealed off (gray gloves)- Texture of the glove was unaffected- Tested on iPad, iPhone, and touch screen of two different cameras (GoPro, Panasonic Lumix) and it worked flawlessly on all of them.
I suspect the glove material may have an impact on how effective this product may be. When in doubt, apply extra drops. Other reviews indicated they have even managed to turn leather gloves to be active.
Above said, I doubt the veracity of the 20 applications per bottle, but you should be to get at least 7-8 pairs, possibly a dozen applications.
Finger-mounted conductive stylus EXTYLUS for Touch Screen Smartphone,Tablets
The key to Taps is electric conductivity. When you touch a smartphone’s screen, Taps creator Tony Yu tells Popular Mechanics, the phone has a layer that conducts the natural electricity from your hand and plots it out on an X and Y axis. Taps replicates that conductivity by using pieces of conductive carbon 100 nanometers big and blending it with a polyurethane material. Yu says his stickers will “trick your phone into thinking it is being touched with by a hand.”
Doesn’t last forever but works well for a month or so then you need to reapply.

When the smartphone revolution created a particularly wintry problem—having to remove your gloves on cold days to use your phone—the world responded by inventing those gloves with fingertips that work on a touchscreen. Taps, a new idea currently being funded on Kickstarter, is doing one better. These are stickers you add to normal gloves that will make them touchscreen-capable.
